Professor at Industrial Electronics and Electrical Engineering Institute of RTU. The fields of scientific interests are power electronics, electric drives, motion control, adjustable electric drives, automation systems, energy saving and use of terminology in all these areas. She teaches students and participates in the development of different Latvian and international projects. She is a scientific expert of Latvian Academy of Science. In 2014/2015 she developed and successfully implemented a new interdisciplinary study program of RTU for Bachelor professional level “Adaptronics”. Her experience in implementation of such international projects like ERASMUS+ 561525-EPP-1-2015-1-LV-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP Improvement of master-level education in the field of physical sciences in Belarusian universities http://physics.rtu.lv; TEMPUS project “Development of Training Network for Improving Education in Energy Saving” (ENERGY) http://energy.rtu.lv; and Erasmus + Applied curricula in space exploration and intelligent robotic systems (Apple) 573545-EPP-1-2016-1-DE-EPPKA2CBHE-JP facilitates a successful process and completion of the project. Responsible person for the quality assurance in the ERASMUS+ project “ESTABLISHING SMART ENERGY SYSTEM CURRICULUM AT RUSSIAN AND VIETNAMESE UNIVERSITIES / ESSENCE” 586087-EPP-1-2017-1-LV-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP. Participates also in such ERASMUS+ projects like “Elektroenerģijas tirgus un inženieru izglītība, Electrical Energy Markets and Engineering Education (ELEMEND)” 585681-EEP-1-2017-EL-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP, and “Applied curricula in space exploration and intelligent robotic systems / APPLE” 573545-EPP-1-2016-1-DE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP. She is an author of more than 70 scientific and methodological publications, scientific monographs and textbooks.
