Genti Beqiri

Genti Beqiri is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, Business and Development, at European University of Tirana as head of Economics unit. He holds, bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting – the University of Tirana, a Master of Arts in International Cooperation from Kobe University Japan, MBA Studies at George Washington University, Washington DC, USA, and a PhD in Business Management – MIS from the European University of Tirana. He as more than 24 years of professional experience in academia, business and project management, including various work experiences in the public sector, government, international organizations, and private companies. He specializes in economic policy, financial management, management process reengineering, business planning and public policy. He is the author of various articles published in national and international academic and professional journals dealing with international economics, management, and economic development. He has published scientific articles in well-known scientific journals, at home and abroad and is an editor of several university textbooks in economics, management, and marketing. Among many other professional engagements, he worked as statistician in the Department of Economic Indicators at the Institute of Statistics (1995–1996), Advisor to the Cabinet of the Minister of Finance, (2003-2004), Executive Director of the Albanian Investment Development Agency (2015-2017), implementation expert of Public Sector Projects at UNICEF Ethiopia (2017-2019) and currently Advisory Member of Wiley Publishing (2020 -). He is part of European University from autumn 2008.
