Jonila Prifti

PhD Jonila Prifti holds a PhD. in Architecture and Construction-Space and Society and a Master of Science cum laude in Urban Planning and Design, both from Faculty of Architecture, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. She has worked for three years at iNexT studio based in Rome, focusing at the strategic planning, urban design and territorial planning.  She collaborated in drafting two strategic plans in Albania (Strategic Plan for Tourism Development for Vlora Region “The zero emissions territory” and Strategic Plan for Sustainable Tourism in Shkodra Region “Towards sustainability of tourism”) founded by the UNDP Program ARTGOLD 2 Albania. She has worked as a specialist at the Department of Territorial Planning at the Municipality of Tirana. Her main research interests include architectural design, urban design and planning, public spaces design. She has taught courses on these subjects for several years as a university lecturer. She became part of Barleti Institute for Research and Development in  2018 as project manager of REEHUB –  Regional Energy Efficiency Hub. This project is cofinanced by the European Union under the instrument for PreAccession Assistance Interreg IPA CBC IT-AL-ME.
